Wei Hong-Ren is a state licensed acupuncturist, licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine. She received her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree (MAOM) after four years of study at the New England School of Acupuncture – one of the most prestigious acupuncture schools in the United States. She is national board-certified Chinese herbalist, a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine, certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Wei Hong-Ren has studied Chinese herbs with Dr. Yanping Jin and Dr. Zhenzhen Zhang, internal medicine specialists at the New England School of Acupuncture. She gained extensive clinical experience while treating diverse patient populations in variety of clinical settings, including Winchester Hospital, Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain, and Elder Service Plan of the North Shore in Lynn of Massachusetts. She also went to China to study acupuncture with Dr. Jie Zhang, chief physician in Acupuncture Department of Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Affiliate of Capital University (北京中医医院,首都医科大学附属医院). Wei's practice is focused on women’s health issues including fertility enhancement, menopause syndromes, PMS. She is specialized on stress management, anxiety, insomnia and weight loss. She is interested in pain management, treatment of allergies, skin disorders, hair loss, GI disorders, and chronic fatigue.
